ABOUT ME

 

Associate Professor in English and Comics Studies

I work in the Department of Humanities and Law at Bournemouth University, where I am Head of the the Narrative Culture and Community Research Centre and teach on various courses including BA English, MLitt English, and MA English and Literary Media. I am one of the founding editors of Studies in Comics, one of the UK's leading academic journals in this field, and of the book series Encapsulations: Critical Comic Studies, and I co-organise the annual International Graphic Novel and Comics Conference (IGNCC). I have previously taught at the University of the Arts, London, and Bristol University.
